    Book Interior Design

    To get started on your book interior formatting and design you will need to have your manuscript completely finished and edited. You may submit your manuscript in MS word or some similar word processing program via email. Your manuscript should clearly show chapters and sub heads, etc., and it should contain all matter for the book both front and back.
    Requirements Checklist
    • Invoices need to be paid to get started with the service.
    • Submit your order from our home page for the book design service that meets your needs. You will have to fill out the job details order form and process your payments. You can login to our system to upload all the required files or you can email us through our client-staff support team along with the manuscript (preferably in Microsoft Word).
    • If you ordered our PRO or PREMIER service we will schedule a design consultation with you. After our design consultation, we will provide you with you with some sample layouts for review and approval.
    • Your book will be fully formatted and your draft will be sent in PDF for your review. If changes or corrections are needed, we will make them for you and send you a new draft. You may request up to 20 layout and text changes after reviewing your draft at no additional charge. There will be an additional charges for over 20 text changes of $.05 each.
    • Once the draft is approved we will provide you all the files including indesign, graphics with a PDF file that is ready to send to your printer.
    What you can get from us
    • The design of the entire interior of your book, including the title page, copyright page, front matter sections (dedication, acknowledgments, etc.), table of contents, chapter pages, and back matter sections, such as an about the author page
    • Drop caps and ornamentation at no extra charge
    • The ability to communicate directly with your book's designer
    • A print-ready PDF of your book's completed interior layout
    • Fifteen text revisions after the review of the formatted draft

    We are familiar with the guidelines of all the popular print-on-demand (PoD) printers such as Lightning Source, IngramSpark, and CreateSpace, and will design your book to meet the specifications required by your printer.

    All of our design work is done in-house by our staff; your book will not be outsourced to another company. We always take great care in creating the best design we can for your book and proudly display many of the books we have designed in our office lobby.

    Book Cover Design

    To get started on your book cover design you will need to have your book interior either in the process of being formatted or already formatted (designed) by DATASTYLING or someone else. The total page count of your finished book interior will determine the spine width of the book cover. Therefore the interior ultimately must be finished with its formatting before the cover can be completed. But we can get started on the cover while the interior is in process. . You will need to have your finalized title and subtitle or any other text that will go on the cover. I will need a number of things later for the book back, including your ISBN number.

    We offer competitive rates on book cover design, considering the quality of work and attention to detail you will get. Our standard design fee is $250 for a perfect bound (soft cover). Extra cost of images purchased for your cover is generally added to the design fee.
